Nicole’s Bio

Born in Cape County on a farm, I was raised with hard work and a quest for knowledge as a basis of life. After graduating from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business, I decided to further my education in a subject that intrigued me, aesthetics.

I graduated from the Aesthetics Institute of St. Louis in the spring of 2004. Since then I have been trained in various product lines and procedures that have made me the well-rounded esthetician I am today. Due to the fact I have this crazy thirst for knowledge, I expanded my education. I went to the Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and graduated October 2008. I work as an RN at one of the local hospitals. The knowledge I have been able to bring back to my day spa is invaluable.

First, it has made me a better esthetician. Plus, I've been able to share with nurses and students my knowledge of alternative treatments (like massage and guided imagery) that are beneficial for people. I started Aura Skin & Body Care in May 2007 after working in other salons and day spas in Cape Girardeau since 2004. I wanted to offer clients a warm, quiet atmosphere away from distraction so they could relax and rejuvenate (R & R) and receive one-on-one skin care therapy treatments. I am excited to be at the beginning of a great journey in life and have so many plans I want to see happen in the future. I know that my clients will love what I have in store for the future. I hope you will be one of them.

Monica's Bio

I am passionate about body work. My mother was interested in body work, aromatherapy, and natural health and she instilled that in me.

I graduated Metro Business College with Massage Therapy Certificate in March of 2003, and became nationally certified in NCBTMB in 2003. With thousands of hours of massage that I have accomplished, I continue to love it and go to advanced practice courses to become even more knowledgeable.

In 2007, Time Well Spent Therapeutic Massage & Spa in Cape Girardeau opened its doors. I opened Time Well Spent because of a desire to give my clients the best massage treatments available, and create a flexible schedule to fit their needs.

Today I am still as passionate about massage as I was when first graduating massage school. I currently work with Crown Hospice doing massage on hospice patients, Parents as Teachers, United Way, and serve on the Metro Business College Advisory Board for the Massage Therapy Program.

I look forward to expanding my horizons in the massage therapy field and bringing health and wellness to my clients.
